Entry requirements:

Visitors from the U.S. must carry proof of citizenship in the form of a valid passport. Also valid: an original/certified copy of a birth certificate presented with a valid photo I.D. For European visitors, a valid passport and visa is required. Visas can be issued for either 30 days or three months. European visitors requiring a Visa extension should apply in person at the immigration office in Plaza Antigua, Playa del Carmen. Visitors from other countries please contact the nearest Mexican Government Tourist Office for entry requirements.

The Riviera Maya is a 72 mile stretch along the coastline Caribbean Sea of the Yucatan Peninsula in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. The Riviera Maya begins south of the Cancun International Airport at Puerto Morelos and ends at Punta Allen, a small fishing village within the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve.
