Casa Maleno, a great house in a great location. A three bedroom, three bathroom house with AC, pool and just three minutes walking from Akumal's main beach on Akumal Bay. If you love Akumal and just want to stay close to home then you may not even need to rent a car! All the conveniences of central Akumal are within easy walking distance like dive shops, Lol-ha beach bar, restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores, Internet, taxis, and the Akumal Pueblo is just across highway 307.

Everything on one level There's no walking up and down tedious flights of stairs at Casa Maleno. Everything is on the garden/pool level with no more than a step or two at the verandah which wraps around two sides of the house. Inside,

The living room is comfortably furnished in hues of deep wine, caramel and mossy green.
Extra furnishings in wicker and bamboo keep the room airy and tropical. Satellite TV is also
provided, and includes VCR/DVD. Also offer a good selection of movies, but please feel free
to bring along your favorite movies and/or CDs.

The living room has plenty of space with an L shaped couch, coffee table, reclining chair and entertainment center. A glass slider opens from the living room to the garden side verandah with table and chairs. This is a pleasant place to read or take a meal while overlooking the banana trees. Another slider from the dining room joins everything and makes entertaining groups easy.

In the spacious kitchen with brick dome over the center island with double sink and raised counter, fully equipped, you will find all of the amenities that you might expect and more. It is a wonderfully designed kitchen and should you desire to do some cooking, you will find everything you could need including full sized stove and refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, blender, dishes, flatware, pots & pans - as well as some extras such as electric mixer, stoneware, cutlery and so on. There are also plenty of serving dishes, platters and storage containers. Off the kitchen is the cozy dining area. With comfortable seating for 6 the sliding glass doors lead to a large covered terrace, overlooking the garden area. The terrace features comfortable outdoor furniture and ceiling fans, making it a wonderful area for morning coffee, afternoon siestas or margaritas in the evening.

The master suite is done in a sand color with soft sea greens and blues and features a king size bed and color TV. There is an ample sized walk in closet with a safe for your valuables and oversized bath with double marble vanity and oversize glass block shower with dual shower heads. This spacious bedroom has glass doors out to its own covered terrace with ceiling fan. Just a few steps from the master bedroom terrace is the pool, which has built in bench seating and a natural stone waterfall. Ideal for keeping cool on those tropically warm days... and the sound of falling water at night creates a wonderful ambiance at bedtime. There is plenty of outdoor seating making this an enjoyable area to spend the day in. There is also a convenient outdoor shower made of talavera tiles. Like to cook out? We have a full outdoor kitchen with gas grill - all covered by a palapa roof.

Casa Maleno also offers two "guest" bedrooms. Each has a queen sized bed and private bath. Beautiful landscaping surrounds the property with various palms, fruit trees, and many flowering native plants, including bird of paradise. Fully air conditioned with ceiling
fans in every room, as well as all outside terrace areas so you'll be comfortable inside or out... whatever the weather.
